I've always been an artistic person. As long as I can remember, art especially color, has fascinated me. After having majored in business administration, I went into partnership as co owner of Red Chair Salon in NYC. At first, handling day to day business didn't seem to fuel me creatively. It wasn't until a couple of years later that I started watching and learning about hair. I picked up the basics of how to cut, style and colour hair. I had to. I'm an owner. If I were to hold staff meetings and discuss hair, I should know what I was talking about. Right?
My passion began to reveal it's self when I started reading and looking at the awesome transformations of people in Kevin Aucoin and Sam Fine's makeup books purchased for the salon. Til' this day me favorite is Kevin's transformation of Lisa Marie Presley into Marilyn Monroe. I read those books through and through. Most of my knowledge about makeup I attribute to them. At the same time, I always say the best makeup artists are creative and artistic people who are passionate about what they do.

Fast forward 2 year to spring of 2003. One of our hairstylists who was also the makeup artist at our salon was pregnant. She decided to stop working after the baby was born and to be a stay at home mom. Not knowing what to do about a makeup artist, my partner hounded me. He was relentless about me taking over as the makeup artist for the salon. Is he CRAZY? I have to say, I was nervous. I'd never picked up a brush, shadow, lash, gloss or anything. Some weeks go by of my toying with the idea. Excitement started to seep in. I took some the makeup that was left behind by our hairstylist / makeup artist. I called the salon assistant into the office and started to beat (applied makeup on) her eyes. By the time I was done, I'd fallen in love with makeup and everything about it.
The rest is History.
I love to transform women into a more enhanced, beautiful version of themselves.
